Bilingual publishing platform — client project
Publishing & Audience Platform
A full content platform for a public writer/commentator: long-form articles, a book catalog, a video library, a photo gallery, and a bilingual quotes feed, with reader accounts, a newsletter, and a moderated reader-to-author inbox — in English and Arabic.
A strong case study should explain the workflow, the constraints, and the product judgment behind the interface.
Primary metric
Active build-out · content migration
Product maturity
2/3 shipped signals
Role
Platform architecture, content-model design, and full-stack implementation including the migration tooling.
Challenge
The client’s output — writing, books, video, public commentary — was spread across separate channels with no single home, no bilingual support, and no structured way for readers to reach them directly.
Approach
One Next.js + Postgres platform covering every content type the client publishes, with reader accounts that can save articles and subscribe, threaded messaging so readers can write in and the client can reply from an admin inbox, full EN/AR support throughout, plus bulk-import tooling to migrate years of existing writing.
Impact
Direct reader contact and newsletter growth built in from day one instead of bolted on later.
